Fireflies at Kampung Kuantan (Kuala Selangor Location 2)

 This is one of the most amazing thing to experience that i ever had!!!...to sit in a small canoe not to worry, there are life-jacket for all...to see small beetle (firefly) lighting up tress that turns out like a Christmas tree :) Tips!!! It is advisable to go there when it is not full moon & not during raining evening. So you can see the fireflies clearly. Ok, it takes about 90mins from Kuala Lumpur to Kampung Pahang! Ticket for Sampan Ride is RM40 (per boat) Oh yeah! bring along mosquito repellent just in-case! :) Fun facts about fireflies, they feed on leaves from the "berembang trees" which you can see along the riverbanks.Firefly is called Kelip-Kelip in the local language. Each of the berembang tree has different groups of fireflies and each groups has flashes that are synchronised!!! Fascinating isn't it :) If your lucky one might fly to you... The park opened from 7.30pm and closes at 10.30pm.
